Reading the upward faces
Recognize the three common combinations.
Three combinations
One flat face and one rounded face form sheng jiao; two flat faces form xiao jiao; two rounded faces form yin jiao. Names and interpretations vary by community. This guide introduces ways to read the faces without treating one local practice as universal.
